Katherine + Julian: San Francisco

Katherine & Julian flew me out to San Francisco to document their wedding at the City Hall of just the two of them.  I’ve never shot a wedding this small before, so I was really excited! After getting ready at the charming Inn Above Tide, we went to the City Hall and wait for our number to be called for the ceremony. Afterwards, we went to a lot of places around Tiburon and Sausalito for some portraits before returning to the Inn for cake cutting in their suite. I’m so glad Kat & Julian found me and I’m very happy to be part of their wedding. I also really love that I got to sign my name as a witness!!!

Ray! Well done. What a complete story of this couple’s marriage. I love the image of the two brides and that nice complex bridge, Rolls, couple image. Of course, the arched window and the last one steal my heart.

It took some time to choose the perfect photographer to capture our love for each other and our ‘day’ and you totally captured all of it. Thank you so much for your contribution to our wedding and making it a wonderful and enjoyable experience.

you should feel honored, julian has yet to thank me for MY role in the wedding! he’s got it right though, you became such an integral part of our day, within 30 min it felt like you were family. yet you balanced it such that we also had privacy to enjoy each other and the day. FATE: reconnecting and marrying my first love after 20 yrs. FATE: finding you…the only person who could “capture” the day as you did.p.s. you totally need to work on that chicken scratch signature of yours :)

sorry, one last thing i wanted to share…. i am VERY VERY VERY camera shy. 36 years of being afraid of a lens yet you somehow managed to help navigate me through my fears, cast it aside even. you are the package deal ray – passionate artist, psychologist, hard worker, and all around friendly chap!

Excellent shots as always Ray. only proved that all you need is the bride and groom to have a wedding. and of course, Ray to capture the emotions of the day. it doesn’t matter if it’s just for two or hundreds of people, you always bring your A game.

I simply love these. First, it makes me so happy that they hired you to begin with; what amazing trust and faith they had (and who wouldn’t!). Secondly, her socks are so awesome. And lastly, SF is may favorite place on earth, and if I ever get-remarried, I want to do it exactly like this. That last shot is like nothing else on earth.
