They’re game for anything to get the picture, even dragging her gorgeous Vera Wang gown through the bushes prior to the ceremony. The gorgeous wedding details reflect Theresa’s design sensibilities, like the glamorous headpieces, flowers & the custom gazebo under which they exchanged their vows. Julie and the girls got beautified by our friend Sherry from On Location Beauty at her cousin’s rad house and Roozbeh and the boys played around with wet towels at the Portofino Yacht Club. Ever since we shot their e-session a few months ago, we couldn’t hardly wait shooting the wedding. Julie is shy and a die hard LA Kings fan. Roozbeh is a party animal and a die hard Lakers fan. But together, they are off the charts in the awesomeness meter. The uber-fabulous Sonia Sharma completely transformed the room at Los Verdes Golf Course into a wonderland. It’s our first time working with her and she’s amazing! A Persian band, Samir Music, provided the background music for the rockin party. Thanks for letting us be part of your wedding, guys! If you would indulge an aspiring photographer, would you care to share what lens(es) you used for this shoot? It seems to me that you use wide angle lenses quite a bit, maybe something in the 24mm range? (In looking at the slideshow for the, oh, fifth time, it almost looks as if you use wide angles almost to the exclusion of other lenses!) I had started thinking wide angles kind of created a distance, because you have to get close to fill the frame with your subject, but in the case of your shots, it's intimate AND it manages to pull in the "world" of the wedding, putting your subjects into context, and providing a wonderful sense of the surroundings, and wedding guests, etc. Thanks for the ongoing inspiration!
